We were excited to work with this homeowner on a solar installation designed to help offset the high energy demands of their new home in Barrier, BC. After relocating to the area, they were surprised by how quickly their electricity usage added up through the winter months. With an electric furnace, hot tub, and pool all contributing to their consumption, they knew solar would be a smart long-term investment for reducing their hydro costs and improving energy independence.
After reviewing their energy usage and property layout, Riverside Energy designed and installed a 10.9kW solar system featuring 24 high-efficiency 455W Longi solar panels paired with APsystems QS1A microinverters. The homeowners’ asphalt roof provided an excellent location for solar, with attic access allowing for an efficient installation process. Careful planning also ensured continued access to the chimney while still achieving the desired system size.
From documentation support to coordinating post-retrofit requirements alongside additional home energy upgrades, Riverside Energy worked closely with the clients every step of the way to help simplify the process and ensure the project moved forward smoothly. The completed system now provides substantial offset potential against the home's large seasonal electricity consumption and positions the homeowners for significantly reduced hydro bills for years to come.
