Supporting the 45th Annual Kamloopa Powwow
Riverside Energy Systems is proud to support the 45th Annual Kamloopa Powwow, organized by the Kamloopa Powwow Society.
For decades, the Kamloopa Powwow has brought people together to celebrate First Nations culture through song, dance, drumming, arts and community. The 2026 event welcomes dancers, drummers and visitors from across North America and around the world to Kamloops for three days of gathering and celebration.
Celebrating Culture and Community
The Kamloopa Powwow Society is a non-profit organization that encourages the continuation and understanding of First Nations culture. Through the Powwow, First Nations song, dance and arts are shared while creating opportunities for greater cultural understanding and connection.
Riverside is honoured to be among the local organizations supporting the 45th Annual Kamloopa Powwow and the many organizers, volunteers, dancers, drummers, vendors and community members who make the gathering possible.
Building Relationships Across British Columbia
Riverside Energy Systems has a long history of working with First Nations communities throughout British Columbia.
Our work has taken us into communities across the province, where we've had opportunities to collaborate on solar energy projects, community infrastructure, training and capacity-building initiatives. These relationships have helped shape how we approach our work and reinforced the importance of listening, learning and building lasting partnerships.
This commitment is also reflected in our Reconciliation Action Plan, which outlines the steps Riverside is taking to strengthen relationships, create opportunities and continue learning alongside Indigenous communities.
Supporting events like the Kamloopa Powwow is another way we can contribute to the communities and relationships that have been an important part of Riverside's story.
Giving Back to the Community We Call Home
For over 30 years, Riverside Energy Systems has called Kamloops home. We're grateful for the opportunity to support an event that brings people together while celebrating First Nations culture, traditions and community.
