We were pleased to work with Kelly again, five years after installing his original solar energy system in Kamloops. When it came time to replace his roof, he contacted Riverside to help manage the removal and reinstallation of his solar panels—and took the opportunity to expand his system at the same time.
Our team removed the existing 12-panel array so Progressive Roofing Solutions could complete the roof replacement. Once the new asphalt shingles were in place, we returned to reinstall Kelly’s original panels and add 10 new LONGi 505W solar panels paired with five APsystems DS3-L microinverters.
The expansion added 5.05 kW of solar capacity, bringing the complete system to 22 panels and 10.15 kW. To suit Kelly’s preferred appearance, the original panels were arranged in the lower rows, with the new panels positioned above them for a tidy, organized layout.
The expanded system is expected to generate approximately 10,985 kWh of electricity annually, helping Kelly offset more of his household’s electricity use and reduce his reliance on grid power. We also connected his updated monitoring equipment directly to his home network so he can track the system’s performance.
