Village of Chase – Municipal Solar Project
42 kW of Solar Across Two Municipal Buildings
The Village of Chase is putting sunshine to work for the community. Riverside Energy Systems installed solar arrays on the Public Works Building and Fire Hall, helping these essential facilities generate renewable electricity and reduce the amount of power they purchase each year.
Together, the two installations feature 84 solar panels with a combined capacity of 42 kW, expected to produce approximately 40,721 kWh annually. It’s a practical investment in the community’s future, making use of existing rooftops to support municipal operations for years to come.

Community Impact
From maintaining local infrastructure to supporting emergency services, municipal buildings serve their communities every day. Adding solar helps meet a significant share of their electricity needs while offering an opportunity to lower long-term operating costs.
Chase’s project is an encouraging example of how municipalities across British Columbia can bring renewable energy into the buildings they already rely on. Each installation is a step toward a future where more communities generate clean energy close to home.
Looking Ahead
We’re proud to have helped the Village of Chase take this step forward. We hope projects like this give other BC municipalities confidence to explore what solar could offer their own communities—one rooftop, one building, and one practical step at a time.
